Vinney and his Maw-Maw

Vinney lost his Maw-Maw to cancer on July 12, 2009. He is not sure what has happened but he knows something is different. We were in the hospital with her and he grabbed me and hugged me very tight. When we went to his Nani Celli's house he would run down the hall saying "Maw-Maw Maw-Maw". He would run as fast as his little legs would carry him to get back to Maw-Maw's room to see her. After her passing, he didn't do that. It was as though he knew she wasn't there anymore. He wouldn't go into her room at first, he would just stand in the hall and lean as if he was peeking in the room. Children know more than we think, and I know that Vinney knows that his Maw-Maw is gone. We will all miss her. I am going to get this picture developed into a 5x7 to put in a frame so that Vinney never forgets his Maw-Maw. She was so special to him and he to her. We love you Maw-Maw!

Vinney loves to do anything that his Grandpa is doing. Vinster got a new lawn mower and wanted to help Grandpa mow the backyard. I am also adding a video below. I love having this little man around....he is the sunshine in my day. He is getting big too fast. He can say anything you ask him to. He is starting to put words together like "Come on" "My Nani" "It Stuck" "Bad Boy" Grandpas Boy" (actually he has said this for a long time) He will not say is anyone's boy but Grandpa's ....believe me we have tried. We will say Nani's boy and he says Nani...we say JoJo's boy and he says JoJo and so on then he says Grandpa's boy. Kyle says that he brain washed him. haha

We're Leaving on a Jet Plane

Vinney and I will be leaving for Florida on Wednesday, March 11th. We are so excited!!!! We are going to see Auntie Joey (or to Vinney she is "dodo"), Uncle Eric, Taylor (Vinney says "Tay-Tay") and Jimmy (Vinney calls him "Me"). We are planning on going to Disney World on Thursday. We are also planning on going to Dinosaur World and to the beach. I am just excited to see my daughter, my favorite son-in-law (even though he's my only one I still love him bunches), and my two beautiful grandchildren. I am also excited to see Vinney's little toes in the sand. haha Of course I will be posting pictures of our vacation (we will be there for a week) so stay tuned.....

Vinney went out to help Grandpa shovel snow. I know he isn't wearing gloves, (his mommy forgot to bring them) but he wasn't out for long. He loves helping Grandpa do anything and everything. Vinney's favorite saying is "Grandpa Boy". Grandpa eats that up. I wonder who taught him that? hmmmm

I haven't updated for a while so I will add a few randon moments I caught of the little man.

This first pictures is on Thanksgiving. We had a wonderful feast at Nani Celli & Poppa's house. I took Vinney outside for a while to run. I also added a video in the video section.

He is such a good boy. I always said that his mommy was an angel when she was a baby and she had an angel too. (Hopefully little Andy Ray will be as good as Vinney is).

Vinney is now a walker. He started walking last weekend. He is now walking more than crawling. I will post pictures soon.

I am uploading a video of him helping Grandpa mow the grass right now. He has been pushing his lawn mower that Grandpa bought for him all evening...all by himself. Then he noticed Grandpa mowing the grass outside and wanted him so we went outside and .... watch the video.

Vinney is definately his Grandpa's boy. Kyle can not walk into a room without Vinney crawling to him and wanting him to pick him up. He cries if Grandpa leaves the room and he stares at him all the time to watch what Grandpa is doing. Grandpa plays with him all the time and I caught these pic's and video the other day. They are kinda dark but wanted to show them anyway.

We got tired of having to lay down our kitchen chairs to block the door way to keep this little guy in a safe room. Grandpa and I went shopping to try to buy a gate to put across our doorway from the livingroom to the dining room (which is 75" across). Needless to say, the only one we found costs $150.00 so Grandpa says "I can build one.". He did and it only cost us $30.00. It looks good too. Great Job Grandpa!!!

Yesterday Vinney stood up in his bed for the first time. The boy hasn't even learned to crawl yet. Vinney comes to me on Saturdays about 8:00 am. We usually have a bath right after he gets here. A bath in the kitchen sink. We won't be able to do this too much longer as this boy is growing like a weed. After the bath, we go back to my bedroom to apply lotion and get dressed. Today we played on the floor for a bit then went outside to play. I added some videos of our day in Vinneys Videos on the side bar.

We are so excited to go the Florida next week. We can't wait!!!!
